PERSONALITY & CHARACTERISTICS
personality overview ;; Marlene, for the most part, is a very kind, caring, loving wolf, being very affectionate, both mentally and physically, hating to have those around ill or in a bad mood, which can occasionally be very annoying, as she gets to the point of obsession which taking care of others, forgetting to even remember herself. In fact, it isn't uncommon for her to forget entirely that she herself has to eat and do other basic bodily necessities, it doesn't help too much that she doesn't seem to have much of a sense of self worth, like at all, being stupidly bold and daring, not caring at all about how injured she might get, so if a pack member at the den complained a teeny bit about wanting a snack, damn right she's going to charge head on at the rushing elk coming directly towards them, she has mouths to feed, dammit, she has better things to do then you know, remember to not get herself seriously injured, or killed.

Though there is a bit more to Marlene then being stupidly selfless, she also seems to be a bit unhinged/insane, laughing at the most inappropriate times, sometimes laughing for visible reason at all, as she has a very dark, morbid sense of humour, she is also incredibly childish, jumping between easily being a wise, old, over-protective mother hen to a little hyperactive pup that needs to be constantly watched disturbingly easily, never failing to find some form of trouble. She isn't afraid at all to speak her mind, or do anything that she really shouldn't do, if she thinks this one wolf shouldn't be eating so much, she'll tell them, or if you told her shouldn't run near the stream because its slippery, she's going to sprint back and forth around the stream because someone needs water, but at the end of the day, she always end up miraculously unscathed, somehow. One day its very obvious that she'll somehow kill herself trying to foolishly help someone else, who really doesn't need it at all. Some times, it seems as if she actually doesn't want to live, but is trying to do it in a very subtle, invisible way.

But Marlene really does know when to be serious, some of the time, it might take some time to like, literately knock some sense into her head, but once you do, she'll become a very charismatic, strong leader, knowing how to expertly manage the things you hand her, being very ruthless and proficient in her work. Though be wary of how much control you give her, it doesn't take much before she becomes stressed out because no isn't part of her vocabulary, she'll quickly, and very ruthlessly, run whatever you gave her into the ground, forgetting that she can't do anything, and no one else can either. In order to stop this before it happens, you'll began to notice her good ole' marbles slowly starting to spill out of the bag, one by one, day by day, but instead of stopping, it'll keep going until she is completely gone, having an extremely bad mental breakdown, where she'll either refuse to stop talking or apologizing for a week or so, or stop talking in total, gone into some weird form of shock or guilty silence.

Underneath it all, Marlene is actually a very secretive, private thing, always being one step ahead of everyone else, having another brick wall up within minutes to make it feel as if they really are getting closer to her, but are actually instead being very subtly pushed away. At the slightest hint of something a bit more intimate or personal, Marlene will start running as far as she can, actually being afraid of getting close to anyone after what happened in her past. Her boundaries aren't at first clearly seen, but after getting brutally rejected or pushed away, you'll notice them, when her personality becomes gradually more and more cold, distant and apathetic, you know when its time to back away. Though don't worry, within a week or two, she'll be back to her insane, overly-selfless little self, acting as if anything ever happened between you two.

To sum it up, Marlene is a very loving, obsessively-protective she-wolf who is a few cards short of having a full deck of cards, but underneath it all, has many different interesting, unique layers to her, just takes a whole lot of determined digging to find them.
